Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't my step count updating?
Make sure you've granted StepWise permission to access HealthKit data. Go to iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → StepWise and ensure all permissions are enabled. Also verify that your iPhone is tracking steps (requires iPhone 5s or newer with M-series motion coprocessor).
Does StepWise work with Apple Watch?
Yes! StepWise reads data from Apple Health, which automatically syncs with Apple Watch. Any steps recorded on your watch will appear in StepWise.
Can I change my daily step goal?
Absolutely! Go to Settings and adjust your daily goal to any value that works for you. The default is 10,000 steps, but you can customize it to match your fitness level.
Is my health data shared or stored online?
Never! StepWise is completely privacy-focused. All your health data stays on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties. We don't have user accounts, logins, or cloud storage.
What's included in the free version?
The free version includes all core features: real-time step tracking, progress ring, metrics, weekly charts, and historical data. Free users see non-personalized ads that don't track you.
