Myriad Tech Labs ("we," "our," or "us") operates the NutriScan AI mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.

By using NutriScan AI, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1.1 Information You Provide

• Photos: Images of nutrition labels you capture or select from your photo library for analysis
• Purchase Information: Subscription and transaction data processed through Apple's App Store

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

• Usage Data: Number of scans performed, features used, and app interactions
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Advertising Data: Ad interactions, impressions, and advertising identifiers (if you grant tracking permission)

1.3 Camera and Photo Library Access

We request access to your camera and photo library solely to:

• Capture photos of nutrition labels
• Select existing photos from your library for analysis
• Process images for nutrition information extraction

We do not store, share, or use these photos for any other purpose. Images are temporarily processed and then discarded.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Nutrition Analysis: Process nutrition label images using AI to extract nutritional information
• Service Delivery: Provide and maintain app functionality, including scan history
• Subscription Management: Process and manage your in-app purchases and subscriptions
• App Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to improve features and user experience
• Advertising: Display relevant ads to free users (with your consent)
• Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and provide technical assistance

We use the following third-party services that may collect information:

3.1 OpenAI API

• Purpose: AI-powered nutrition label analysis
• Data Shared: Nutrition label images (temporarily)
• Access Method: Via secure proxy server
• Privacy Policy: OpenAI Privacy Policy
• Data Retention: Images are processed in real-time and not permanently stored by OpenAI

3.2 Google AdMob

• Purpose: Display advertisements to free users
• Data Collected: Advertising identifiers, device information, ad interactions
• Ad Personalization: Non-personalized ads by default; personalized only with your explicit consent via App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
• Privacy Policy: Google Privacy Policy
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of personalized ads through iOS settings or by upgrading to premium

3.3 Apple App Store

• Purpose: In-app purchase processing and subscription management
• Data Collected: Purchase history, subscription status

In compliance with iOS 14.5+ requirements, we request your permission before tracking your activity across other apps and websites.

You can change your tracking preference anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

5.1 Local Storage

The following data is stored locally on your device:

• Scan history (nutrition analysis results)
• Subscription tier and status
• App preferences and settings
• Scan count (for free users)

5.2 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

• HTTPS encryption for all network communications
• Secure proxy server for API requests
• No permanent storage of nutrition label images
• Local encryption for sensitive data on your device
• Regular security audits and updates

5.3 Data Retention

• Images: Processed immediately and permanently deleted (not stored)
• Scan History: Stored locally on your device until you delete the app or clear data
• Usage Analytics: Retained for 90 days for app improvement purposes
• Purchase Records: Retained by Apple per their policies

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

6.1 Access and Portability

• Request a copy of your personal data
• Export your scan history from the app

6.2 Correction and Deletion

• Delete individual scans or clear entire history in the app
• Request deletion of your data by contacting us
• Uninstall the app to remove all local data

6.3 Opt-Out Rights

• Advertising: Deny tracking permission via iOS ATT prompt
• All Ads: Upgrade to premium subscription to remove all advertisements
• Camera/Photo Access: Revoke permissions in iOS Settings (app functionality will be limited)

6.4 GDPR Rights (EU Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR:

Note: We do NOT sell your personal information.

NutriScan AI is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately, and we will delete such information from our systems.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. These countries may have different data protection laws.

When we transfer data internationally, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place, including:

• Standard contractual clauses approved by regulatory authorities
• Compliance with EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield frameworks (where applicable)
• Using services certified under relevant privacy frameworks

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Non-personalized ads will be shown (if you're a free user)
• All app features remain fully functional
